GPS Positions of Fire Trucks

A live xml feed of the GPS positions of fire engines/trucks around the city, similar to that consumed by For each minute, display latitude, longitude, and a unique identifier for each vehicle. If a live version is prohibitively expensive, a daily or hourly dump of this dataset would be made available for download & processing. It could have numerous uses, including independent verification of how long it takes to respond to calls, analysis of noise levels, recommendations for new station locations or hospital locations, correlations with crime (see, etc.

DataSF is a clearinghouse of datasets available from the City & County of San Francisco. Our goal in releasing this site is:
(1) improve access to data
(2) help our community create innovative apps
(3) understand what datasets you'd like to see
(4) get feedback on the quality of our datasets.
