San Francisco solar irradiance
Posted by rkaris | Categorized under Dataset

Those who have photovoltaic systems need this data to determine how well their systems are performing and to know if any problems have occurred with their systems. Currently, the SFPUC has only the average data online. cf. http://www.sfog.us/solar/sfsites.htm

If a live version is prohibitively expensive, a daily or hourly dump of this dataset would be made available for download & processing. It could have numerous uses, including indepen

This is the data behind sf.solarmap.org/ (which currently is broken because of an expired Google maps key).
The SF Solar Map application was built (at a crazily expensive cost) by CH2M Hill, a big contractor, which feels like it owns the data, when in fact, it is owned by San Francisco tax payers.
